Colton Entertainment is a full service independent music publishing and administration company. Colton Entertainment Group provides full exploitation and catalog administration services, artist and songwriter development, A&R, and strategic marketing services. It also houses a production and label side and a management company.
Colton Entertainment developed through a joint-venture between President and CEO Doug Colton and Hall-of-Fame Songwriter and Publisher, Roger Murrah. Prior to forming Colton Entertainment, Colton was President of Murrah’s legendary Murrah Music Group. In 2007 Murrah Music became the first Nashville independent to make the Billboard Top-Ten Publisher’s List based on market-share. Beginning in 1990, and throughout its existence Murrah Music consistently had multiple songs in the charts and in 2008, was awarded with ASCAP’s Song of the Year. In 2009, Murrah Music merged its country music catalog into Bug/ Windswept and Colton acquired the non-country music catalog, which had been owned by the joint venture.
